Why we built Presence
You are wonderfully made—and worthy of wonderful care. We want every person to feel welcomed as they are, treated with dignity and kindness, and given genuine presence through unhurried care.
Getting basic care shouldn't mean fighting traffic, sitting for hours in a waiting room, waiting weeks for an appointment or opening a surprise bill afterwards. Most people don't need more healthcare complexity — they need someone to answer, and someone who remembers them.
So Presence does two things well. First, unlimited 24/7 virtual care for the everyday things that happen at 10pm on a Saturday. Second, local direct primary care with the same provider for the care that deserves to be in person.

Frequently asked questions
Is Presence health insurance?
No. Presence is a healthcare membership, not health insurance. It is designed to make everyday healthcare easier and more affordable and can be used whether or not you have insurance.
Can I really talk to a provider 24/7?
Yes. Eligible members receive access to the participating 24/7 virtual-care network for video and phone visits with licensed providers, subject to the terms and availability of that service.
What if I need to be examined in person?
Local in-office primary care is available to members ages 13 and older. On Virtual Family Care ($19.99) in-office visits are $129 each; Virtual + Local In-Office Care ($29.99) includes 2 per household each year and then $99 each; Unlimited memberships include covered local primary care visits with no per-visit charge.
Can my children use Presence?
Yes. Family memberships include 24/7 virtual healthcare for adults and children. Presence provides local primary care for ages 13 and older; children under 13 receive pediatric virtual care and access to participating pediatric partners when hands-on care is needed.
Is there a fee before my first in-person visit?
Yes. A one-time $49 clinical onboarding and medical history review is completed before your first local in-person visit — not before you join — so your provider can review your history, medications and prior records in advance.
Do I need insurance?
No. Many members keep insurance or another form of major medical protection for hospitalizations, emergencies and surgery, but it is not required to join.
Are discounted labs and imaging included in my membership?
Your membership gives eligible members access to available reduced member pricing. The lab, imaging, medication or other service itself is paid separately at the applicable member rate.
What about emergencies?
Presence is not an emergency medical service. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek emergency care immediately.
