What can women discuss during a visit?
A well-woman visit makes space for preventive screening, menstrual or menopause concerns, and questions about your health. Pap smears are available when screening is indicated. Examination and testing are tailored to your history and needs, with time to explain what is recommended and why.
What men’s health services are available?
Men can discuss preventive physicals, health risks, low-testosterone evaluation, erectile concerns, and prostate health screening. Fatigue or changes in sexual health can have several causes; symptoms alone do not establish low testosterone. Evaluation considers the whole picture before treatment is discussed.
How are preventive screenings chosen?
Screening depends on age, prior results, family history, and personal risk. Pap testing and prostate screening are not automatically needed at every visit. A conversation about benefits, limitations, and your preferences helps identify appropriate next steps without unnecessary testing.
Who will help me connect the details?
Melissa House, a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP / APRN-CNP), provides personalized, relationship-centered primary care. She considers your concerns alongside medications, ongoing conditions, and preventive needs, and can discuss referral or coordination when additional expertise is appropriate.
Can I talk about menopause or hormone concerns?
Yes. You can discuss symptoms, how they affect daily life, and hormonal or non-hormonal options. Hormone therapy is a separate, individualized decision; Presence coordinates appropriate estradiol or testosterone therapy with experienced national providers. Call to discuss the care pathway and appointment availability.
What else would you like to know?
What does a well-woman exam include?
It includes a review of health history, preventive needs, and concerns such as menstrual changes or menopause. Examinations and tests depend on your needs; a Pap smear is not required at every well-woman visit.
Do you offer Pap smears?
Yes. Presence offers Pap smears when clinically indicated. Timing depends on age, previous results, and individual history; confirm the appropriate visit when you call.
What men’s health services are available?
Services include preventive men’s physicals, low-T evaluation, prostate health screening discussions, and personalized primary care for men’s health concerns.
Do all men need prostate screening?
No. Screening is an individual decision based on age, risk factors, symptoms, and preferences after discussing possible benefits and harms.
Do you provide menopause support?
Yes. Care includes discussing symptoms and appropriate treatment options, including non-hormonal approaches and coordinated hormone therapy when suitable.
