Preparation · nothing clinical assessed
Prepare for your visit
Five minutes of preparation is the difference between a visit that resolves something and a visit that ends in 'come back when you have that information'.
This is a preparation list only. It does not assess symptoms and it does not diagnose anything.

Your checklist
Always
- The full legal name and date of birth of the person being seen
- A current list of medications, including doses and anything taken occasionally
- Allergies, and what the reaction was
- A one-line history: when this started, what has changed, what you have already tried
- Your pharmacy name and location
- A payment method, and your HSA or FSA card if you use one
For this visit type
- A charged device, a working camera and microphone, and a stable connection
- Good light on whatever the provider needs to see, and a way to hold the camera steady
- Anything visible uncovered and ready — a rash, an eye, a wound, a swelling
- A private place; a car parked safely counts
For this person
- Your own questions written down first — the two things you most want answered
Before you book, be clear about the boundaries
- A virtual visit cannot examine, image, stitch or test. If the provider decides you need hands-on care, they will tell you where to go.
- No prescription, antibiotic, dose change or note is promised in advance. Each follows the provider's assessment. Controlled substances are not prescribed virtually.
- In an emergency call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
