The difference between a telehealth visit and virtual primary care
Most telehealth is transactional. You describe symptoms to a stranger, get a prescription or a "go be seen," and the record disappears into an app. Nothing accumulates. Nobody notices that this is the third sinus infection since October, or that your blood pressure readings have crept up, or that a medication you were started on last spring was never reassessed.
Virtual primary care is the opposite posture: the visit is one moment in a relationship. Presence combines round-the-clock virtual access with a continuing record and a local provider relationship, so the fast answer at midnight and the long view of your health belong to the same care plan.

What ongoing virtual care actually covers
Preventive planning
Screening timelines, lab work at member pricing, and a plan you can actually follow — reviewed rather than reset each year.
Medication management
Refills without a scramble, plus periodic review of whether each prescription is still doing something useful. Controlled substances are not prescribed virtually.
Chronic condition follow-up
Blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, prediabetes and similar conditions followed over time, with in-person visits when an exam or testing is needed.
Everyday illness
The same 24/7 access for sore throats, sinus pain, rashes and stomach bugs, handled by someone who has your record.
Results and referrals
Lab and imaging results explained in plain language, with referrals and authorizations when specialty care is the right step.
Health questions that aren't emergencies
The 'is this normal?' calls people otherwise sit on for weeks — answered the day you ask.
Presence providers determine what can be handled virtually based on your clinical circumstances and Texas law, and will recommend in-person or emergency evaluation when that is the right level of care. Membership is not health insurance.

Call 817-900-6368 whenever something comes up — there is no per-visit charge for included virtual care, so nothing gets postponed for cost reasons.
In-person when it matters
Physical exams, vitals, in-office testing and anything that needs hands are done locally at the North Richland Hills practice.

Cost and how to start
Virtual primary care is included in every Presence membership — $19.99/month for the household on Virtual Family Care, $29.99/month for the DFW virtual-plus-local household plan, age-based Individual Unlimited at $79/$89/$109, or Family Unlimited at $219/month for up to five plus $29 per additional child after five. Unlimited plans also remove per-visit charges for medically appropriate local care.

Virtual primary care questions
Can a virtual provider be my primary care provider in Texas?
Much of primary care can be delivered virtually — history, planning, medication management and follow-up. Presence pairs that with local in-person care for exams and testing, because some things genuinely require being in the room.
Will I see the same person every time?
Your ongoing local primary care relationship is with the same Presence provider. Immediate after-hours requests may be handled by the participating 24/7 clinician network so someone is always reachable.
Can you manage blood pressure or cholesterol virtually?
Commonly, yes — with home readings, labs at member pricing and periodic in-person visits when an exam or testing is needed. Care decisions depend on your individual clinical situation.
Do you handle refills?
Yes, for medications your provider manages, with review of whether the prescription is still appropriate. Controlled substances are not prescribed through virtual visits.
What if I live outside Dallas-Fort Worth?
Virtual care is available to members across Texas. In-person Presence visits happen at the North Richland Hills practice — see locations for the areas we serve locally.
Is this cheaper than using my insurance?
Often, for everyday care, because there are no copays for included care and no per-visit telehealth fees. Membership is not insurance and does not replace it for hospital, emergency or specialty costs.
