24/7 Virtual Care · Family Access Day or Night

Care tonight, not next Thursday

It is 9pm, your throat is on fire and the clinic closed at five. Presence members reach a licensed provider by phone or video any hour — no waiting room, no drive, no copay for included virtual care.

Unlimited 24/7/365 virtual visits · Included from $19.99/month · No insurance required

The short answer

Membership includes virtual access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so a 2am fever does not have to become an emergency-room bill. Overnight care is virtual only; in-person visits happen during daytime availability in the Fort Worth area. Emergencies always go to 911 or the nearest emergency department.

Who it is for
Members and households who need access at night, at weekends and on holidays rather than during clinic hours only.
When it may not fit
Emergencies at any hour, and anything needing hands-on assessment overnight — that is an urgent care or emergency department.
What it costs
Included in every membership from $19.99 a month. One-time visits are $39 by phone and $49 by video.
What to do next
Call now, or join so the next 2am problem is already covered.

Is a virtual visit right for tonight?

  • Familiar illness that has come on this evening — throat, cough, sinus, stomach, urinary, a rash

Start virtually. A provider can assess it, treat what is treatable, and tell you if it needs to be seen.

    Get care now
  • Your child is under 13 and it is the middle of the night

Whole Family Virtual Care is the overnight pathway for children: $19.99/month for everyone in the household, 24/7/365, in all 50 states, with network clinicians who see all ages.

    See Whole Family Virtual Care
  • You have run out of a regular medication and the pharmacy closes soon

A refill evaluation can be started now. Controlled substances are not refilled virtually.

    Start a refill evaluation
  • Chest pain, breathing difficulty, weakness on one side, severe pain, confusion or a bad injury

This is not a virtual visit. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department now.

    Emergency guidance

If you are weighing up an urgent-care trip at 10pm, a virtual visit costs less and starts sooner — but it is not a substitute for emergency care or for anything needing an examination.

What "24/7" actually means here

Not a callback queue that opens at eight in the morning. Presence virtual care runs 365 days a year, overnight, on weekends and on holidays, through a participating clinician network whose providers are licensed for the state you are located in. You are not booking an appointment slot days out — you are asking for care now and being connected to a provider who can act on it.

There is no per-visit telehealth charge and no copay for care included in the self-pay membership, so using it four times in a month costs the same as never using it at all. For most households that is the difference between getting care early and waiting to see if it gets worse.

  1. Reach out at any hour

Call 817-900-6368 or request a visit online. There is no appointment window to wait for and no triage line that closes.

  2. Talk with a licensed provider

Connect by phone or video, usually within minutes to a short wait depending on volume. You describe what's going on; the provider asks the questions an exam room would.

  3. Leave with a plan

Guidance on what this likely is, what to watch for, and when clinically appropriate and permitted by law, a prescription sent to the pharmacy you choose.

  4. Escalate if it needs hands-on care

If your symptoms need to be seen, examined or imaged, the provider says so and tells you where to go — including a local Presence visit when that is the right level of care.

What people actually use it for

Virtual care handles the ordinary, high-frequency reasons people end up in urgent care: symptoms that need a licensed opinion and often a prescription, not a procedure.

  • Cold, flu and COVID symptoms
  • Sinus and ear pain
  • Sore throat
  • Cough and congestion
  • Allergies
  • Pink eye
  • Urinary symptoms
  • Rashes and skin concerns
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Minor injuries and burns
  • Headaches
  • Medication and refill questions

A good use of a virtual visit

  • New symptoms you'd normally take to urgent care
  • A question about a medication or a refill
  • Something that started after hours and you don't want to wait on
  • A rash, eye or skin concern you can show on camera
  • Follow-up on how a treatment is working

Go in person or call 911 instead

  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding — call 911
  • Injuries that may need stitches, imaging or a cast
  • Anything requiring a physical exam, swab, EKG or in-office test
  • Severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, or symptoms in a very young infant
  • Controlled substances, which cannot be prescribed virtually

Virtual clinicians decide the appropriate course of care based on your symptoms and clinical circumstances, and may recommend in-person or emergency evaluation. Presence is not an emergency medical service. If you believe you are having an emergency, call 911.

Why membership beats paying per visit

A single one-time Presence Video Visit is $49. Virtual Family Care is $19.99 a month for the household, so compare your expected use and the 12-month commitment before choosing.

One-time virtual visit

$49 per visit, no membership required. Fine if you need care once and don't expect to need it again.

Virtual Family Care — $19.99/mo

Unlimited 24/7 virtual visits for your household. Scheduled local visits in North Richland Hills are $129 each for members ages 13+.

Virtual + Local In-Office Care — $29.99/mo

Unlimited 24/7 virtual visits for the whole household, plus two included in-person visits per year.

Material terms sit next to every price on the pricing page, and the individual proposition is broken down on membership plans.

Using Presence from anywhere in Dallas-Fort Worth

Virtual care does not care where you live. Members in Dallas, Arlington, Denton, Grapevine and out toward Wise County use Presence without ever driving to us — the visit happens from a kitchen table, a job site or a parked truck. In-person care is anchored at our practice in North Richland Hills, which is what members in Fort Worth, North Fort Worth, Haslet, Keller, Southlake and Colleyville tend to use most.

The two halves are meant to work together. Virtual care solves speed. Your local primary care provider solves continuity — the same person each time, who already knows your history when something bigger comes up.

Nationwide Whole Family Virtual Care is delivered through a participating clinician network. The $29.99 DFW plan adds scheduled local in-office care at the North Richland Hills practice; local in-office care is not available nationwide.

24/7 virtual care questions

How fast can I actually talk to someone at 2am?

Overnight requests are handled by the participating 24/7 clinician network. Connection times vary with network volume, and included virtual care has no separate after-hours fee.

Can the provider prescribe medication?

Yes, when it is clinically appropriate and permitted by Texas law. Prescriptions are sent to the pharmacy you choose. Controlled substances are not prescribed through virtual visits.

Does a virtual visit cost anything on top of my membership?

No. Unlimited 24/7 virtual visits are included in every Presence membership with no per-visit charge and no copay for included virtual care.

Can my kids use it?

On a household plan, yes — children in the household are covered for virtual care, including pediatric virtual care for children under 13. Local in-person Presence primary care is for ages 13 and older. Details are on family membership.

What if the provider says I need to be seen in person?

They will tell you plainly and point you to the right level of care. When a Presence visit is appropriate, you can be seen at our practice in North Richland Hills — in-office visits are $129 each on the $19.99 household plan, two are included a year on the $29.99 plan and then $99 each, and Unlimited plans include medically appropriate local visits with no per-visit charge. See local primary care.

Do I need insurance to use this?

No. Presence membership is not health insurance and does not require it. Most members keep coverage for hospital, emergency and specialty care and use Presence for everyday primary and virtual care.

Is this the same as an ongoing primary care relationship?

Not by itself. 24/7 virtual care is built for immediacy. If what you want is one provider managing your health over time, read virtual primary care or direct primary care.

About this information

Written by the Presence care team for patients considering care with us. Presence care is delivered by licensed providers, including a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner — not by a physician, and not by software. Meet your provider.

This page explains how our service works. It is general information, not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for an evaluation of your own situation. Whether testing, treatment or a prescription is appropriate is decided during a visit.

If this is an emergency — chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, or thoughts of harming yourself — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. See our emergency care notice.
